How to Stay Physically Active During The Lockdown

When you are in lockdown, it is easy to start getting a little bit lazy. After all, there probably isn’t that much you can do at home. Thankfully, there are ways that you stay physically fit without needing to head to your local gym. I got a couple of suggestions for you.

Now, depending on where you live, chances are pretty high that you are allowed to go out and exercise at least once per day. This means that you are going to need to take advantage of it. Head outside (maintain social distance), and run, walk fast, or cycle. Do this for about thirty minutes and you will have done a little bit to work you closer to staying physically active.

You may also want to look up a couple of exercises you can do at home. You will be surprised at what you can do with a couple of filled water bottles (awesome weights) and a yoga mat. In fact, once you see how active you can get during exercises like that, you probably wouldn’t want to head to a gym again! It would be cheaper to stay at home and workout.

If you want to do a bit of exercise but do not really want something that feels like exercise, then I reckon that trying to do a few chores around the home is going to go a long way towards getting you feeling great. Why not mow the lawn? Why not fix that broken item that has been beggint to be fixed for years but you haven’t quite found the time? If you can’t find anything else to do, then I am 100% positive that you will be able to find a little bit of organizing to do at home. Decluttering is great because you are likely going to be moving around a lot of heavier items and, at the end of it, you are going to have a cleaner and ultimately far happier home!

Of course, you could always look into doing a little bit of volunteering. Some people need groceries and medication collected. Others may need a spot of cleaning or other jobs done. This is a great way to get out of your house, get physically fit, and feel great about yourself too. Right now, there is no shortage of volunteering options available, so dig in and see which ones tickle your fancy.
